Project Summary

Gardner Zemke is to furnish and install (15 each) 13.6 – 235 kV, 50MVA water cooled power transformers which are designed and manufactured by VonRoll Transformers of Ramat Ha’Sharon, Israel. Work required involves the removal and disposal to prepare for storage existing single-phase 230kV transformers. Remove and replace 550 cy of contaminated oil-spill containment aggregate. Modify cooling water piping and control conduits to connect new transformers. Replace all fire deluge piping. Install and test new 15kV Isolated Phase Bus designed and manufactured by AZZ/Calvert. Install new seismic anchorage systems. Assemble, oil process and field test each transformer and place in service.
